How much does a Webflow website cost? Pricing and budgeting
    Short answer
A Webflow website has two cost categories: the Webflow licence (Site plan from around 14 € per month, CMS plan from around 23 € per month, billed annually) and agency services for concept development, design and implementation. Realistically, projects range from 2.500 € for a focused one-page website to 25.000 € or more for a multilingual CMS website with complex interactions. The largest share almost always goes towards concept development and design, not the build itself. Cost drivers include CMS complexity, custom interactions and migration from a legacy system. Ongoing costs for hosting, maintenance and further development come on top.

If you search for Webflow pricing, you get two very different answers: Webflow's own price list and agency quotes. Only the two together give you the actual project cost. This article separates the costs clearly and gives you ranges to use for internal budgeting.

The two cost categories: licence and agency services

Webflow combines a website builder, editor, CMS and hosting in one product. What you pay Webflow is the ongoing platform fee. What an agency charges is the one-off work that creates your website in the first place: structure, copy, design, implementation and testing.

    CategoryWhat's includedTypical cost
Webflow licence (Site plan)Hosting, CDN, SSL, forms, basic traffic allowanceapprox. 14–39 € / month
Webflow CMS / BusinessEditorial content, more traffic, more CMS itemsapprox. 23–39 € / month
Workspace seatsOnly needed if your team works in the Designerfrom approx. 19 € / month
    Agency servicesConcept, structure, design, implementation, content editing, QA2.500 – 25.000 €+ one-off
Maintenance and ongoing developmentUpdates, new sections, monitoring, reporting150 – 900 € / month

The licence is the smaller, predictable part. It usually comes to between 200 and 500 € per year. The second category is what determines your budget.

    Kernaussage
The annual Webflow licence typically costs as much as one to two hours of agency work. When people discuss Webflow pricing, they are effectively discussing the work involved in concept development and design.

Realistic price ranges by project size

The following ranges are based on projects we have delivered as Maluure GmbH in Cologne. They cover one-off agency services, excluding the licence and ongoing support.

    Project typeScopePrice range
    Focused one-page website1 page, clear conversion goal, no CMS2.500 – 5.000 €
    SME website5–10 pages, services, contact, client projects6.000 – 12.000 €
CMS website10–20 pages plus blog, case studies, jobs, filtering logic12.000 – 20.000 €
Custom projectMultilingual, complex interactions, integrationsfrom 20.000 €

Important: these ranges differ little from those for other systems. We have broken this down in detail in our introductory article How much does a website really cost?. Webflow saves development and maintenance time, not concept development time.

The most expensive part of a website is never the technology, but establishing clarity beforehand. If you know what your site needs to achieve, you will pay noticeably less in Webflow than someone who wants to work that out during the build.

    What drives the price up

Icon grid showing six cost drivers: page count, CMS, interaction, migration, languages and maintenance
Six factors that determine the work involved in a Webflow website.
    1. CMS complexity. A blog with one Collection is quick to build. Once case studies, jobs, locations and people are linked and need to be filtered, the work increases significantly. Every reference between two Collections means additional templates and additional testing.
    2. Custom interactions. Scroll-driven animations, sticky sequences and 3D elements are possible in Webflow, but take time to fine-tune and optimise for performance. As a rough guide: a complex hero animation costs 1.500 to 4.000 €.
    3. Migration from a legacy system. Existing content can be imported into Webflow Collections via CSV, but rarely without further work. A redirect strategy, URL mapping and image preparation can easily add up to 1.000 to 3.000 € for medium-sized existing sites. Cutting corners here costs you rankings.
    4. Multilingual content. Webflow Localization is a paid add-on and almost doubles the editorial and testing work.
    5. Accessibility. Contrast, focus states and keyboard navigation belong in the concept, not in remedial work. Otherwise, they become more expensive later.
    6. Data quality. Missing copy and images are the most common reason projects take longer and go over budget.

    Budget realistically for ongoing costs

After launch, three cost items remain: the Webflow licence, optional add-ons and support. For a typical medium-sized business website, these are:

    • CMS Site plan: around 276 € per year when billed annually
    • Domain and email: 30 to 120 € per year
    • Optional tools such as a form backend, analytics or search: 0 to 400 € per year
    • Support: 150 to 900 € per month, depending on whether it covers monitoring alone or active development

A common misconception: Webflow needs no plugin updates, so maintenance seems unnecessary. Technically, that is largely true. For content, it is not. A website that remains unchanged for two years after launch loses visibility, regardless of the system it runs on.

    Kernaussage
Allow around 300 to 800 € in annual platform costs for a Webflow website and budget for content, not technical maintenance.

    Real-world example: Hoenen Leasing GmbH

Hoenen Leasing GmbH is a medium-sized financial services provider with services that need explaining and a clearly defined target audience. Its existing presence was dated and did not reflect the quality of its advice. We rebuilt the brand, structure and website: clear service pages, a simplified approach to enquiries and a page structure the team can expand itself without breaking design rules.

That is exactly where the investment pays off: not in the number of effects, but in how long a site can keep working without agency involvement.

How to budget for your own project

A quick calculation is more useful than a blanket figure. Count page types, not pages: homepage, service page, project reference page, contact, blog post, legal pages. Each distinct page type requires design and implementation. Ten service pages using one template cost significantly less than five individually designed pages.

If you want a concrete figure for your project, put together your requirements in the pricing calculator. You select the scope, CMS requirements and additional services and receive a reliable range including ongoing costs, before we even speak.

Is Webflow worth it for your budget?

Webflow is worthwhile when you need both high-quality design and editorial independence, without extensive custom functionality. For very small budgets under 2.500 €, a simple website builder is a more realistic option; for shop or portal functionality, another system is often more suitable. You can find the basics in What is Webflow? and in our direct comparison Webflow vs. WordPress. If you want to hand over implementation, you can find the scope of our services on our Webflow agency page.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a Webflow website cost in total?+
Allow 2.500 to 25.000 € as a one-off cost for concept development, design and implementation, plus around 200 to 500 € per year for the Webflow licence. A typical medium-sized business website with 5 to 10 pages costs 6.000 to 12.000 €.
How much does Webflow itself cost per month?+
A Site plan starts at around 14 € per month when billed annually, and the CMS plan at around 23 €. Workspace seats for your own Designer access cost extra.
Is Webflow more expensive than WordPress?+
For the licence, yes; overall, usually not. WordPress saves on platform fees but incurs ongoing costs for hosting, plugin licences, updates and security maintenance.
Why do Webflow prices vary so much?+
Because the price is determined almost entirely by the work involved in concept development and design. Page types, CMS structure, interactions and multilingual content can multiply the workload; the technology itself makes little difference.
How much does it cost to migrate an existing website to Webflow?+
Typically 1.000 to 3.000 € for medium-sized existing sites. This includes content import, URL mapping and a redirect strategy to preserve rankings.
What ongoing costs are there after launch?+
The licence and domain cost around 300 to 800 € per year. Support and ongoing development range from 150 to 900 € per month, depending on scope.
Can I manage content in Webflow myself?+
Yes. Content editors can use the Editor to maintain copy, images and CMS items without being able to change the design. This significantly reduces ongoing agency costs.
At what budget is Webflow not worthwhile?+
Below around 2.500 €, a simple website builder is a more realistic option. For complex shop, portal or custom functionality, another system is also usually more cost-effective.
