Josef Kujawski wins the German Vibe Code Award 2026: Best Solo and People's Choice
    Short answer
Josef Kujawski, managing director of Maluure GmbH, won two prizes at the German Vibe Code Awards 2026 at Flora Cologne: "Best Solo" from the expert jury and the People's Choice award. In the brand sprint, twelve participants had five hours to build a brand and landing page with AI. The competition came from all over Germany, including the Bechtle Group, 65 Creative, Steadymade.ai and Liebich Studio.
One evening, two trophies: Josef Kujawski, co-founder and managing director of Maluure GmbH, won "Best Solo" at the German Vibe Code Awards 2026 and took home the People's Choice award as well. On 5 November at Flora Cologne, the jury and the room picked the same build. A win across the board.

The format: one brief, five hours, one pitch

The German Vibe Code Awards are an AI summit with a live competition. At its heart is a brand sprint: twelve spots for solo creators and teams, a brief nobody has seen before, and five hours to build an idea, a brand world and a finished landing page with AI. The pitches happen in the evening in front of an audience.[1]

Four trophies were awarded: Best Solo, Best Team and Grand Prix by the jury, plus the People's Choice, voted on by the audience in the room only.[1] We are especially happy that the jury and the room came to the same result.

Josef Kujawski won two prizes at the German Vibe Code Awards 2026: "Best Solo" from the expert jury and the People's Choice award.

The challenge: one briefing film, five hours, four minutes

The task sounded simple and wasn't. Every participant received the same briefing, not as a document but as a single film of just over two minutes. In it, a fictional founder speaks from the year 2040: machines now need only a fraction of the energy, and people use the time they gain to repair the earth. Yet some landscapes are still missing their gardeners, extinct species. Her plan: bring these species back precisely where they are missing. She already has backers with money, land and knowledge. The film's last line is the actual brief: "We know what we're doing. We just don't know what we're called yet."
From that one film, three things had to be created in just five hours: a name, a complete brand design and a fully developed website. No follow-up questions, no template, no second briefing. Afterwards, there were exactly four minutes to pitch the result to a packed hall and the expert jury.
The briefing film of the German Vibe Code Awards 2026, the only input every participant received.
Josef's answer is called dodomino. The name plays on the dodo, the symbol of extinct species, and the domino effect: when one species returns, an entire landscape starts moving again. This led to the guiding idea "Bring life into motion", a distinct brand world and a donation website with before-and-after stories of restored landscapes, a clear explanation of the mission and a direct way to get involved. All built in one afternoon, all live at dodomino.org.

Strong competition from all over Germany

Nobody had it easy. The field included:
    • The Bechtle Group from Sankt Augustin
    • Konstantin Nowotny from Berlin, co-founder and managing director of 65 Creative
    • Alexander Blancke from Hamburg, AI engineer and co-founder of Steadymade.ai
    • Kilian Liebich from Nuremberg, founder of Liebich Studio
Agencies, studios, engineers and corporate teams with very different strengths, all working on the same brief. Those differences are what make the format exciting.

    The expert jury

The jury deliberately brings different perspectives: design, brand, ideas and execution.[1]
    Jury memberRoleWhat they look for
Nina SchörnerCreative Director, Brand DesignerThe idea behind the project and whether the design makes the brand tangible
Jonas ArlethFORMBURG, Webflow EducatorDesign, motion and the love of detail no prompt creates
Fateh KhodamoradiFounder of KabarzaStorytelling, brand, structure and UX
Christian SchmittProduct Builder, SEO specialistClean tech, accessibility and findability on the web
Garvin HirtFLOK, Designer and Brand OwnerWhether the idea understands the brand's challenge and AI stays a tool
Farzan BorhanazadInitiator, Be A Star ProductionsWhether the build tells a story or only shows off tools
For us, that is the real recognition: a jury that looks under the hood, checks accessibility and SEO and asks about the idea judges exactly what we take seriously in client projects.

I genuinely take my hat off to this field. The Bechtle Group, Konstantin, Alexander, Kilian and everyone else built things in five hours that used to take weeks. Thank you to Farzan and the whole Be A Star Productions team for an evening that put vibe coding on a real stage, and to the jury for looking so closely. Winning it right here in Cologne, at the Flora, makes it a true home game for me.

    A home game

Maluure is based in Cologne, and winning right here feels special. It caps a strong year: in 2026 we were also honoured at the German Network Award for outstanding entrepreneurship.
For us, vibe coding is not a party trick. As an officially certified Lovable partner we use AI every day to build websites and applications for our clients, faster, but with the same standards for idea, design and engineering.
    Kernaussage
Speed alone does not win an award. What convinced was the combination of a clear idea, a strong brand and clean execution.
Thank you to all participants, the jury, Be A Star Productions and every partner who made this evening possible. See you at the next edition.
